Shimla, May 15 -- BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, alleging that it had pushed the state towards "economic collapse, mounting debt and administrative failure".

He said that the ongoing municipal corporations, zila parishad, and panchayat elections were not merely local body polls but an opportunity for people to "save the future of Himachal Pradesh".

He urged voters to support BJP-backed candidates and send a strong political message against what he termed "misgovernance, false promises and economic disorder" under the government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
