Thiruvananthapuram, May 13 -- CPI(M) Polit Bureau member and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic lightning strike incident in Mankada, Malappuram district, in which four children lost their lives.
In a condolence statement, the Chief Minister described the incident as "deeply saddening and painful," noting that the loss of young lives is an "irreparable tragedy" for the affected families as well as the wider community. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and relatives and conveyed solidarity in their grief.
He also wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the incident.
