Pune, April 19 -- The "Swargiya Bhai Nevrekars Lifetime Achievement Award" was presented to renowned wrestling mentor Buvaji Liman on Sunday.
The ceremony was organised by the Konkanastha Parivar here at the auditorium of the Fergusson College Alumni Association.
Buvaji Liman was felicitated at the hands of World Wide Book of Records holder Bhagwandas Sugandhi, in the presence of chief guest Prakash Renuse. The ceremony was chaired by Adv. Vijay Sawant.
The event began with an introductory speech by Sunil Nevrekars, while Professor Kushaba Pingale introduced the awardee and dignitaries. Shrinath Hagavane delivered the welcome address, and Naresh Pednekar proposed the vote of thanks. The program was anchored by Parag Ganu.
