Mumbai, April 16 -- Nine years after the crime, a sessions court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering a 3-year-old boy in a rage after the child broke a tea cup in suburban Kandivali here.
Relying heavily on the testimony of the child's elder sister, who witnessed the assault at the age of five, the sessions court found accused Nitin Pathare guilty of murder and destruction of evidence, noting that he strangled the child and later buried the body to conceal the crime.
