Agartala, March 25 -- With the run-up to the campaign for the elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC), the opposition Left Front in Tripura has called for the deployment of central paramilitary forces at every polling booth in the ADC and in the Dharmanagar assembly bypoll.
Left Front convener Manik Dey expressed concerns over the state's law and order situation and claimed that the current environment is not conducive to hold free and fair voting. He described the elections as occurring under unprecedented conditions, with numerous reports of attacks on opposition parties emerging from different parts of the state.
