Shimla, June 3 -- : Principal Media Advisor to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Naresh Chauhan, on Wednesday said the lawyers' protest that brought traffic to a standstill in Shimla was unfortunate and could have been avoided through dialogue.
Speaking to reporters, Chauhan said the road blockade by lawyers on Tuesday caused major inconvenience to residents, commuters and visitors, with traffic remaining disrupted for several hours across Shimla.
He observed that lawyers, being officers of the court and well acquainted with legal processes, were expected to seek resolution through discussions rather than by obstructing public roads.
