Lucknow, July 29 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati, while welcoming the new law passed by the Lok Sabha to prevent paper leaks, said that merely enacting strict laws will not solve this serious problem.
Effective prevention measures and comprehensive reforms in the education system are essential, she saidMayawati said on the social media platform 'X' on Wednesday that paper leaks are a heinous crime that darkens the future of millions of students.
She said that while the bill passed by the Lok Sabha provides for strict punishment, this law primarily focuses on punishing the crime after it has been committed, whereas the priority should be to prevent it before it occurs.
