Hyderabad, April 30 -- Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed an agreement with Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) to divest its 100 per cent stake in L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited.
The move marks a strategic monetisation of a mature infrastructure asset and aligns with L&T's plan to exit development projects and focus on core engineering and technology-led businesses.

Following the acquisition, HMRL plans to further expand the metro network to strengthen urban transit infrastructure in Hyderabad.
