Dimapur, Aug. 19 -- A major landslide occurred along National Highway 702A at New Colony in Zunheboto in Nagaland on Wednesday morning, disrupting vehicular movement along the important highway stretch and causing concern among residents.
According to the information available, three houses in the vicinity of the landslide had been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
The houses were later completely damaged by the landslide. The timely evacuation helped prevent any loss of life or injury to the residents.
However, one building in the surrounding area has reportedly developed visible cracks following the landslide, raising concerns over the safety and stability of structures in the affected vicinity.
