'Srinagar, April 25 -- Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena today issued an order removing a rule that barred overqualified government employees from applying to graduate-level posts, allowing them to compete for higher positions with immediate effect.

The Ladakh administration termed a landmark decision that will go a long way in securing the future of youth in union Territory.

LG Saxena ordered the removal of a strict bar on government employees holding graduation and above degrees but appointed on lower-qualification posts (class 10 or 12), from appearing for graduate-level posts in future.

The Lieutenant Governor has ordered the removal of this restriction with immediate effect, a press statement said.
