Lucknow, May 1 -- : On the occasion of International Labour Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a firm stance on workers' interests, issuing a clear warning to factory owners and contractors.

He stated that delays or reductions in payment after receiving work from workers will no longer be tolerated. He said that if a worker has worked, he must receive full wages; the government will take strict action.

Addressing the "Shramveer Gaurav Program" organized here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that workers used to be exploited, but now the government is committed to protecting their rights.

Referring to the recent labour protest in Noida, he said that industrial unrest in the state will not be allowed at any cost.
