Sonepat (Haryana), June 9 -- Kumkum Mohod was largely unknown outside Indian archery circles until recently.
Now, within the span of a few remarkable weeks, the 17-year-old archer from Amravati has helped India win an Archery World Cup gold medal and earned a place in the country's Asian Games 2026 squad.
While the Asian Games now represent the next major step in her career, she believes the larger target lies beyond Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
"Our focus is on all the upcoming tournaments," Kumkum told Olympics.com. "Ultimately, we aim to win an Olympic gold medal for India, which, unfortunately, we haven't achieved yet.
