Chandigarh, Feb. 26 -- Congress MP Kumari Selja has termed the ongoing workers' strike at Indian Oil Corporation Limited's refinery in Panipat as "deeply concerning" and demanded immediate government intervention to address the labourers' demands and ensure basic facilities.

Selja, who is the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and represents Sirsa in Parliament in Haryana, said the situation raises serious questions about the functioning of both the administration and refinery management as workers were forced to resort to a strike despite prolonged efforts to seek dialogue.
