Hassan, July 22 -- union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday said he wants to transform the memorial of his late mother, Chennamma, into a spiritual centre "that will become a model for the world", as the Deve Gowda family observed the traditional third-day funeral rites in Hassan district.
The declaration came during the *haalu-tuppa* (milk and ghee) ceremony held at Chennamma's burial site in Hole Narasipura, where former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, HD Revanna, HD Ramesh and other family members performed rituals in accordance with Vokkaliga customs.
