New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 15 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday urged the Centre and the Telangana government to jointly revive the Cement Corporation of India (CCI) plant at Adilabad, saying the closure had affected the livelihoods of nearly 6,000 families.
Talking to the media, after meeting union Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in New Delhi, KTR said the union Minister had expressed the Centre's willingness to revive the plant but stressed that the Telangana government must submit proposals on incentives, subsidies and investment. He demanded that the Congress government immediately disclose its revival plan and financial commitment for the project.
