Hyderabad, June 16 -- : BRS Working President K T Rama Rao on Tuesday strongly condemned the alleged lathi-charge and arrests of unemployed youth, students and Unemployed JAC leaders during a protest in Dilsukhnagar, terming it an attack on democratic rights.
Accusing the Congress government of betraying unemployed youth, KTR in a statement said the party had come to power promising two lakh government jobs, mega recruitment notifications and a job calendar, but had failed to fulfil those assurances. He questioned the government's decision to fill only 5,000 police posts when more than 20,000 constable vacancies exist in the state.
