Hyderabad, June 23 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Tuesday strongly condemned the house arrest of former minister and Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy, terming it an example of the Congress government's "anti-democratic and autocratic" attitude.
Prashanth Reddy was reportedly placed under house arrest while preparing to participate in a protest at the Tadwai Mandal headquarters in Yellareddy constituency. The protest aimed to highlight issues related to fertiliser supply and to oppose the app-based system being implemented for urea distribution.
