Karimnagar, July 13 -- BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday accused the Congress government of denying irrigation water to farmers by refusing to operate the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project despite substantial flows in the Godavari River.
Speaking to the media after inspecting the Mid Manair Project in Karimnagar district, KTR alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was allowing water to flow downstream while farmers faced drought conditions and crops withered.
He claimed that pumping water through the Kannepalli pump house could address irrigation and drinking water needs without lowering the Medigadda barrage gates.
