Hyderabad, June 15 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of spreading falsehoods to cover up his failure to secure Central approval for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2.
In a statement, KTR said the Centre had sanctioned Metro projects for cities in Uttar Pradesh, Ahmedabad and Visakhapatnam, but the Telangana government had failed to obtain approval for Hyderabad's proposed expansion. He alleged that despite making numerous visits to Delhi, Revanth Reddy was unable to convince the BJP-led Centre to clear the project.
