Hyderabad, June 27 -- BRS Working President K T Rama Rao on Saturday accused the Congress government of reneging on its promises to women and farmers, alleging that the proposed "Future City" project was aimed at grabbing valuable land acquired earlier for the Hyderabad Pharma City project.

Addressing party workers, KTR challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to deposit the promised Rs 2,500 per month to all 1.67 crore eligible women in the State, claiming each beneficiary was due Rs 1.5 lakh over five years. He said he would retire from politics if the government fulfilled the promise.
