Hyderabad, July 6 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao on Monday accused the Congress government of neglecting farmers by failing to utilise available water from the Kaleshwaram project and alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was deliberately trying to tarnish the image of the BRS.
Addressing a meeting of Hamali workers at Mallapur, KTR claimed that despite water being available, the government was not operating the Kaleshwaram pumps, resulting in crops drying up and farmers facing hardship.
Referring to his recent visit to the Kannepally pump house, he alleged that large quantities of Godavari water were being allowed to flow into the sea instead of being used for irrigation.
