Kochi, May 12 -- Amid mounting concerns over the impact of millitary conflict in West Asia on India's tourism industry, the Kerala Travel Mart Society (KTM) has urged union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to introduce urgent financial relief measures, including a one-year moratorium on tourism-related loans and a dedicated support package for the sector.

In a memorandum submitted to the Finance Minister, KTM President Jose Pradeep sought a time-bound moratorium of at least one year on repayment of both principal and interest for stakeholders across the tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
