KSPP Dean Syed Akbaruddin appointed as RBI Central Board Director

Hyderabad, Aug. 25 -- Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin, Dean of the Kautilya School of Public Policy at GITAM Deemed to be University and former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, has been appointed as a Part-time, Non-Official Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a period of four years.

The appointment, effective from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier, was notified on August 22, 2026, by Kundan Nath, Under Secretary (EO-SM-II), Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
