Zapopan (Mexico), June 11 -- The FIFA World Cup 2026 begins its Group A action Friday morning as Korea Republic take on Czechia at Guadalajara Stadium in what promises to be an intriguing opening-day contest.
This will be the first World Cup meeting between the two sides. Korea Republic arrive with the experience of 11 consecutive World Cup appearances, while Czechia return to the global stage after a gap of 20 years, adding extra significance to their opening fixture.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7.30 am (IST).
