Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, June 12 -- In view of the monsoon, Konkan Railway has completed comprehensive pre-monsoon preparations, giving top priority to the safety of passengers.
Like every year, this year too, a special monsoon schedule will be implemented from June 15 to October 20, and additional precautions will be taken in rail traffic.
In a press release, Santosh Kumar Jha, director Kokan Railway, said that the Konkan Railway administration has taken various measures to make rail traffic safer during the monsoon season.
Under this, the maximum speed of trains in the Veer to Kankavli section has been restricted to 75 kilometers per hour. Normally, trains run at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour on this route under normal conditions.
