Kolkata, June 4 -- The West Bengal government on Thursday unveiled a major roadmap for the state's transport and waterways infrastructure, announcing plans to introduce a modern Water Metro service in Kolkata.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari made the announcements after a meeting with union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal at Nabanna.
The discussions focused on inland water transport, port development and future infrastructure projects across the state.
