Kolkata, June 4 -- West Bengal's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths on Thursday reached the South Kolkata home of sitting MLA and former state minister Firhad Hakim as part of the probe into the ongoing alleged signature forgery scandal in the legislative assembly.

According to CID sources, they intend to record Hakim's statement as part of their investigation into the alleged forgery of MLAs' signatures. It has been revealed that Hakim was present at the meeting convened by Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee last week to choose the Leader of the Opposition, the sources said.
