Kolhapur, April 27 -- Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today booked a woman Sarpanch of Jainapur village in Shirol tehsil of this district, and her son as a private agent, for demanded Rs 10,000 from a complainant for giving permission for starting a business in his wife's name in Jainapur village.
The suspected accused was identified as Sangita Ramesh Kamble (52), a Sarpanch of Jainapur village in Shirol tehsil of this district, and her son Niket (30), working as a private agent for his mother.
An ACB press release said, the complainant said he wanted to start a business in his wife's name in Jainapur village, so he applied to Jainapur Grampanchayat office and met Sarpanch Sangita Kamble requesting permission for the business.
