Kolhapur, April 8 -- Nationalist Congress Party(NCP-SP) leader Samarjit Ghatge today rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of state BJP president Ravindra Chavan in Mumbai.
Ghatge, who had joined NCP(SP) from BJP ahead of the state assembly elections in 2024, today rejoined the BJP in a function, held at the BJP state headquarters in Mumbai.
Alongside Chavan, State Minister Chandrakant Patil, MP Dhananjay Mahadik and others were present on the occasion.
In the 2024 assembly election, after he failed to get BJP ticket from Kagal assembly constituency against NCP(AP) candidate, State Minister Hasan Mushrif, Ghatge joined the NCP(SP) and contested the election on the party ticket but failed to win the seat.
