Kolhapur, May 6 -- District session judge Rajashri V Aadone sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 to an accused for brutally murdering his wife in 2017 after suspecting her fidelity.
The incident occured at Kasba Sangav village in Kagal tehsil of this district in September 2017.
According to public prosecutor Vivek Shukla, accused Pralhad Ramchandra Awake (58), resident of Kasaba Sangav village, brutally murdered his wife Varsha (38) by striking her with a sharp weapon on her neck, in front of their two daughters, as he was suspicious of her character.
