Kolhapur, July 28 -- In a shocking incident, a former woman Sarpanch was strangled to death by her boyfriend at Shirgaon in Shahuwadi tehsil of Kolhapur district on Tuesday morning.
According to Shahuwadi police, the deceased woman was identified as Surekha Shivaji Nyare, former Sarpanch of Shirgaon village. After the death of her husband Shivaji Nyare, she was in a relationship with her neighbour Prakash alias Babu Ananda Patil.
However, fed up with her pressure of marriage Patil strangled Surekha to death.
