Kolhapur, July 16 -- A Bharatiya Janata Party worker was seriously injured when two unidentified persons fired bullets at him, over a suspected dispute with a private money lender, in the Nava Vashi Naka area of the city on Thursday evening.
According to police, BJP worker Suraj Sakhare, who is also in the police records as a suspected MCOCA criminal, was in Navi Vashi Naka area this evening, when suddenly two unidentified persons fired rounds of bullets on him, and fled from the spot.
In the incident, Sakhare was seriously injured, and admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
According to information received, it is being reported that Suraj Sakhare has some previous cases registered against him.
