Kolkata, May 19 -- The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has issued two notices over alleged illegal construction at properties linked to Trinamool Congress national general secretary and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee.
The notices, sent by the civic body's Building Department under Section 400(1) of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980, relate to properties located at 121, Kalighat Road and 188A, Harish Mukherjee Road in Ward 73 of the Bhabanipur Assembly constituency.
One notice has been issued in the name of Abhishek's mother, Lata Banerjee, while the second has been sent to Lips and Bounds, a company widely identified with the TMC leader.
