Kolkata, June 4 -- : Kolkata Municipal Corporation and the city police together refuted the claims of hawker eviction drives at West Bengal's largest book market, College Street.
Speaking to the reporters at a Press conference on Thursday, municipal commissioner Smita Pandey and the additional commissioner of Police for the Kolkata Police, D.P. Singh, categorically denied having issued any notice or even oral communication by any of their officials to the College Street book market for eviction.
