New Delhi/Hyderabad, May 21 -- union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Thursday met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhavan and reviewed the progress of various railway projects in Telangana, including new railway lines, electrification works, and infrastructure development initiatives.

In a press statement, Kishan Reddy said detailed discussions were held regarding development works at 42 major railway stations across Telangana.

The union minister also raised issues related to the Hyderabad MMTS network, describing it as a crucial transport lifeline for commuters in Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

He requested the Railway Minister to take steps to regularise train timings and improve passenger amenities.
