Hamirpur(HP), June 18 -- Aditya Sharma (23) from Himachal Pradesh, who lost his life in a US strike near Hormuz, was cremated with full honours at a crematorium near his native village of Bhalu in Hareta area of Hamirpur today.
Earlier, a postmortem examination of the body was conducted at Hamirpur hospital this morning before the body was handed over to his parents.
His cousin, Parth, lit the funeral pyre. Prior to this, his mortal remains were kept at home for final respects.
As soon as Aditya Sharma's mortal remains arrived home, his mother, Sushma Lakhanpal, clung to her son's body; she kept losing consciousness repeatedly.
His father, Rajesh Sharma, and other family members were also inconsolable.
