Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) School of Public Health hosted the official launch of the India Country Chapter of the Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN), a global initiative focused on advancing research, policy dialogue, and collaboration to reduce preventable loss of life.
The India chapter will be led by Dr Pratap Kumar Jena, Professor at KSPH and Dr. Ramya Pinnamaneni, Director of KSPH.
The event brought together public health experts, UN specialists, policymakers, academic leaders, community partners, and students to discuss the growing need to understand and prevent avoidable deaths caused by disasters, climate risks, gaps in healthcare systems, and social vulnerabilities.
