Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- The Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) has set a new benchmark in ticket checking performance during the financial year 2025-26, recording its highest-ever earnings from ticket checks across the zone.
The division collected a total of Rs.39.71 crore through fares and penalties from approximately 7.38 lakh unauthorized or irregular passengers. This marks a notable 21percent increase compared to the previous financial year.
This achievement is the result of systematic planning and efficient execution by the Commercial Department, in close coordination with the Security Department.
