New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday accused the Narendra Modi government of systematically undermining reservation by allowing government posts to remain vacant, privatising public sector undertakings and increasingly replacing permanent jobs with contractual employment.
In a statement, Kharge said the issue went beyond unemployment and directly concerned social justice, arguing that the reduction in permanent government and public-sector jobs was shrinking opportunities available under the reservation system.
