Bengaluru, Aug. 3 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday sparked a political storm after saying protesting Civil Police Constable recruitment aspirants could be subjected to a "lathi charge" if they continued their agitation, prompting the opposition to renew its demand for his resignation over alleged irregularities in the examination.
Responding to calls for his resignation, Kharge said, "Let them first fast for 25 days. Let them go on a hunger strike.
