Kochi, Aug. 17 -- Kerala will launch the second phase of land reforms and bring in necessary amendments to existing land laws to make them relevant to present-day requirements, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said today.
In a series of major policy announcements, the Chief Minister also said the government would develop value-added agricultural products and market them globally under the brand name 'Kerala Brand', introduce an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based system to prevent wildlife attacks in the high-range areas and gradually raise the support price of rubber to Rs 300 per kg.
Mr Satheesan was speaking after inaugurating the State-level Farmers' Day celebrations and distribution of State Farmers' Awards at Kalamassery in Ernakulam.
