Thiruvananthapuram, July 18 -- Kerala will procure additional electricity from other states on Sunday to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the FIFA World Cup final, Electricity Minister Sunny Joseph has announced, assuring that there would be no power cuts during the match despite the State's mounting electricity demand.
The Minister said Kerala is witnessing an unprecedented rise in power consumption, making the current situation challenging. To meet the anticipated spike in demand during the football final, the State will purchase additional electricity at higher rates from other states.
