Kochi, Sept. 24 -- Kerala has set a target of attracting five million foreign tourist visits and 100 million domestic tourist visits in the next five years, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the 13th edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) 2026 at Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Satheesan said the state needed to showcase its unique tourism potential to the world while ensuring sustainable development of its tourism sector.
"In 2025, Kerala recorded 8,21,999 foreign tourist visits, registering an increase of 11.33 per cent over 2024. Domestic tourist visits reached 2,50,58,366, registering a growth of 12.64 per cent," he said.
