Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 9 -- The Kerala government has fulfilled its assurance to Endosulfan victims in Kasaragod by granting administrative sanction for Rs 14.40 crore for the continued implementation of the 'Snehasanthwanam' scheme, a comprehensive package for the rehabilitation and welfare of Endosulfan-affected people in the district.
The amount has been sanctioned through the Social Justice Department under the demand for grants included in the State Budget for 2026-27.
A substantial portion of the sanctioned amount will be utilised as direct financial assistance to the affected people. An amount of Rs 9,84,31,200 has been earmarked as monthly relief assistance for 5,208 existing Endosulfan beneficiaries for the period from April 20...
