Kochi, July 15 -- The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Regional Authority, Kochi, has flagged off the first export consignment from Kerala to the United Kingdom under the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement-CETA) from the Cochin Port Authority, marking the State's formal entry into exports under the landmark trade pact.
On the occasion, the DGFT presented a Letter of Recognition to the exporting firm in acknowledgement of becoming the first exporter from Kerala to ship goods to the United Kingdom under the India-UK CETA.
