Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 14 -- Kerala Police has issued a warning against fraudulent groups luring people with promises of high income through online jobs that can be done from home and high returns on investments.
The fraudsters are using a fake application called NTL to carry out the scam, mainly through platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
According to the police, fraudsters attract victims through fake advertisements and, after they establish contact, strategically persuade them to download the NTL application. The victims are then asked to register on the app and are introduced to various tasks, commission schemes and investment plans in the name of online jobs and investments.
