Thiruvananthapuram, July 1 -- Kerala Police has cautioned the public against a growing number of fraudulent online lottery scams in which cybercriminals are illegally using the name, logo, emblem and visual identity of the Kerala State Lottery to cheat unsuspecting people through social media platforms.
According to the police, scammers are luring victims with eye-catching advertisements carrying claims such as "Mega Bumper Dhamaka Offer," "Win Rs 25 Crore," and "Kerala Lottery Online Booking."Clicking on these advertisements redirects users to WhatsApp groups or fake websites that closely imitate the official Kerala State Lottery portal by displaying government emblems, logos and similar website designs to create a false sense of authenti...
