Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 1 -- Kerala has launched the process of preparing a 10-year master plan for road development, covering major junctions, flyovers, new bypasses, road widening and other infrastructure requirements.
A special committee has been constituted to scientifically assess the existing road and bridge network, evaluate future traffic requirements and prepare a comprehensive, prioritised list of development projects, Public Works Department Minister P K Basheer has said.
The committee will identify roads and bridges requiring upgradation and improvement and prioritise projects based on traffic demand, existing road capacity, connectivity, future urban development and structural safety.
