Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 9 -- Kerala must translate its rich Ayurvedic heritage and scientific expertise into viable business opportunities by strengthening standardisation, ensuring the availability of medicinal raw materials and bridging the gap between research institutions, industry and practitioners, experts said at Bio Connect 4.0 here on Friday.

Speaking at a panel discussion on the prospects of Ayurveda during the International Life Sciences Industries Conclave, the experts highlighted the need to develop plant-based medicines, improve quality control and adopt a systematic approach to expand Kerala's presence in domestic and international markets.
