Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 1 -- Kerala has initiated steps to amend the Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act and Rules, with a focus on simplifying procedures, adopting an industry-friendly approach and resolving public grievances.

A high-level meeting to discuss the proposed amendments was held at the Land Revenue Commissionerate here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Revenue Minister A P Anil Kumar.

The meeting examined proposals aimed at simplifying the procedures under the existing provisions and facilitating a more industry-friendly policy while addressing issues faced by the public.
